I went thru a few files I had. I have tons more on cds but here are a few that I had handy. Grandma lived up North in Rhode Island until 3 yrs ago so we saw her mostly on Christmas so Christmas will always be a special time. She had been sick for the last wk and half she had improved move from the ICU and was coming home today but she left us yesterday. God needed another angel. I know you are no longer sick and are with Grandpa and Uncle Bill. We love you Grandma. I wanted to add this is Mike's grandma but I loved her as my own.

M. went with me today to help with soccer pictures. Since we were on the outfield of the baseball fields and we play baseball almost year round and M had on a baseball tshirt(why not?). I hope not. This is my whenever I need, anytime ready to go, sweet loving daugther/model. Ok..so I was at the mall today and there was this dress...I thought hmmmmmmm that would look great on my daughter in a field...so guess what I bought it. So today when she got home from school we went to the field behind our house and played a little before it down poured. Can't wait to do more maybe at the beach when we go in October. Anywho...just wanted to share.

Trip to Nationals...

If you remember last year my trip to Nationals had a few complications....well this year was no different....1st E. friend got sick the first night there and had to have emergency surgery for appendicitis, 2nd E. ear starting draining black "gunk" took her to the doctor she had an earring back inside her ear, 3rd E. friend's came back from surgery and started running a fever, 4th they had to leave (keep in mind I rode down with them), 5th Mike had to come (hahaha) rescue us. In the end though 6 of the pictures I had taken for photogenic placed in the top 10. 2 of the won and one of them was E. Our teams performed great we received several platinum awards and overall awards. I am one proud mom and photographer right now. I will have to rethink a trip next year there. What else could happen? Here are my winning pics. Enjoy.

Doesn't get much better than that. We played Friday-Sunday in South Lincoln. We dodged rain all 3 days. The Red Sox came in 3rd place. The Red Sox played some great baseball this weekend. Later today we are going to grill out and enjoy the last of the weekend. Back to work tomorrow.

What a week it has been. Monday M. class had their post-poned field trip to Montgomery to visit the state capital (pp b/c of the suine flu). They had a blast touring the state capital, archive museum, alabama old towne and dexter ave. Wednesday was E. 8th grade graduation and Thursday was M. awards day. It has been one busy week and we are looking forward to summer. Its hard for me to believe I have a highschooler now.

What a weekend. We spent Mother's Day in Florence for a baseball tournament. As in my earlier post it was raining. Friday night the boys played good but just couldn't get ahead. We came home Friday night about midnight. Saturday started off with rain headed back to Florence checked in to our room to find out the games had been pushed back. Our game wasn't til 6pm. We won our 6pm game and got rained on. We were to play again at 945pm but as soon as we took the field the rain came down in buckets. Game called and off we go. Sunday morning was "iffy" Games got pushed back. We started playing and down came the rain. M. loved diving into the mud today. He pitched one of his best games yet but we still had too many field errors to come out ahead. I got hubby to take a picture of the kids and me in the rain for a mother's day to remember. well the picture isn't the best but I do have the best family every.

What a beautiful day we were blessed with today. The day that our savior Rose again. I am thankful for all I have been blessed with. Where would I be if God didn't die for me. Thank you God. We spent the day at my Mom's with great food (How many times have I said that today)and an opportunity for group pictures. After pictures the kids changed clothes to play basketball and the little ones hunted eggs. Here is my Mom and her crew and a few others just for fun. I love my family.

On a side note my camera died last week. It is being sent to the hospital for a cheap repair (I hope) sooo these pictures were taken with my old faithful very first DSLR canon rebel. Thank goodness I gave it to my mother-in-law and she let me borrow it til mine comes back in.

We had State Dance Championship this past weekend. MDP ( http://www.masseydanceproductions.com/ ) brought home so many awards I lost count. We got 6 State Dance Champ awards, several platinums and golds and other overall awards. Here are a few sneaks of why these girls are States Champs. More pictures to come later. I just love these girls from dance. They make my heart sing and my body ache. :)

I can't believe another school year is 3/4 of the way done. This is E. last year of middle school she will begin highschool in the fall. Wow...where did these last 8yrs go. She has cheered her last game and has her last cheer practice today. We went out yesterday evening to take a few pictures with her cheer uniform before turning it in today. It is kind of sad to turn it in. I am happy with how these came out despite me having a flat tire yesterday and M. had to spend 4 hours getting new tires. Here is a sneak there will be more when I get time to edit them.

Baseball season has officially started. What a great weekend our boys had. We played 3 games and in the end won the Spring Thaw Championship 10U division. The boys played great for the first game. This is one of my favorites of M. I call this one "Batter UP!"

These pictures were taken after the last game and it had gotten dark and cold. But it didn't stop the boys from having fun.

This month has taken off with a bang. We had our first dance competition last weekend and E. came home a big winner. Her 2 hip/hop groups received platinums and got overall teen group small and large. E. won photogenic, 1st place gold in her division and 2nd place overall in the teen division. I am very proud of her she worked hard on her solo and even made a few last minute changes. Between getting ready for dance I have done a matenity, senior, family downtown and photogenic headshot session. I have 3 more sessions this week. I am sharing a few from this weekend and from the session I have done.

It's that time of the year again...

Last weekend we had a cheerleading competition. The RMS cheerleaders placed 1st. We spent Saturday at Samford University. The girls looked beautiful and cheered great. My neice's cheersquad (DogHouse) was there too so the whole family got to spend the day together.

Now this weekend will be in Chattanooga til Sunday for a dance competition. Here is a preview of the dances of this year. Last Sunday we had dress rehersal at Buckhorn High School to get ready for this weekend. Wish us good luck. E. will be doing her musical theater solo "Forget About the Boy" Turn your volume up you can hear her solo song :) Will update you on how it goes next week.

March 1st we got up to about an inch of snow. We have waited for the last 3 months for a little white stuff. I guess this is as good as it get for Alabama. M. was up bright and early and didn't want to come in. I love the picture M. got of M. throwing the snowball at the door and the one of E. kissing her snow ganster as she called it. But as quick as it comes it goes just as quickly. It is already melting away. Oh yeah one of me caught in action that M. took. And yes I have my pajama pants on. :)

So cuddly at 2months. This great family drove from Rogersville to let me capture this special time in their life. Dad was a great trooper after working all night he came to do pictures. This is sweet A.D. born in January. She is so beautiful. This family was so excited to share the culture of their family. Dad is from Mexico so it meant a lot to him and mom to wrap the baby in Dad's jersery. They plan on sharing these with the grandma in Mexico. I can't wait to here how excited they are going to be. I decided to change things up a bit. Today I went in for my haircut and color. I said what about going darker.....ok I think it will be great. So we did it and I am really liking it. I have had blonde highlights for so long I forgotten how nice dark looks. So here is a before and after. Of course M. hates change and as soon as he saw he says why you got to change things up...then he said but it's not that bad. E. loved it and of course she thinks she needs to go dark now and M,jr. says he really likes it too.

As basketball comes to an end I thought I should share a few of E&M. E. cheered for the middle school. We finish up tournaments next week. M. starts tournaments next week. This is the first year we have gotten to play on a team that has done really well. It's nice to win every once and awhile. Oh yeah..Last Friday night the middle school had 8th grade recognition night. So M & I got to walk E. out. Watch out you don't see M. dress up too often. Enought babbling and on with the pictures.

Where did the month go?

It seems like we just had Thanksgiving dinner and now Christmas has come and gone. This year I had to work Christmas Eve so that put a big damper on everything. We spent most of the day hanging around the house so I could nap. At 525pm I hoped my phone would ring telling me you can stay home we don't need you tonight. WRONG...my phone never rang so off to work I go. It was a long night. Which is good and bad. Not one baby born until 525am of course when it is time to finish up and leave in a couple of hours all these babies start popping out. I can home and the kids were still in bed. Yeah. M and I got the last little things together and then got the kids up. Can you believe we have to wake them up. M. was so excited he got an ipod. He has been begging for an ipod for months he saved his birthday money and has been bugging me to let him buy it. He even got a docking station to play it in. E. got a mini laptop. The look on her face was priceless. Of course with there bigger gifts it made the other gifts slim. But neither seemed to mind. They didn't want to put their santa gifts down to open their other gifts. After Big M. and I open our gifts (yes I did get my small pocket camera) and he got a blu ray DVD player. I layed down for a 30 minute nap before heading to Grammie's for breakfast.

I never should have laid down. I didn't want to get back up. Off to Grammie's we go for a great breakfast. Which just made me sleeper. The kids showed off their santa gifts with excitement. But couldn't wait to open their gifts. They racked up from Grammie and Great-Grammie. We hung out over there for a few hours which I mostly slept. I felt so bad for sleeping. We planned on doing family mini photo shoot but I was just to tired. Big M. thinks I forgot but I didn't. He just smirks when I bring it up.

Finally after a 3 hour nap back home we head to Nana's to finish out Christmas day. We had a big delicious dinner and then the kids tore into the gifts from Nana. It was so late and I was very tired by then we didn't stay long. This was a long day for everyone. I have made up for it the last 2 days. No one has gotten up til about 12pm each day. I am thankful everyday for my family.

After many hours of wrapping presents I sure do feel like an elf. I had to join the bandwagon and share our elf dance. Big M. wasn't happy with our dance but the kids and I loved it :) Enjoy.

Like mom said we go from one extreme to another. I took this family's pictures late summer when it was very hot and now here we meet again and it is freezing. S. was such a ham and so curious.
